A vulnerability has been identified in avast!, which could be exploited by local attackers to cause a denial of service. This issue is caused by a memory corruption error in the "aswMon2.sys" driver when processing user-supplied data via IOCTL 0xB2C80018, which could allow malicious users to crash an affected system.
