Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in VLC Media Player, which could be exploited by remote attackers to compromise a vulnerable system. These issues are caused by stack overflow errors in the "ASF_ObjectDumpDebug()" [modules/demux/asf/libasf.c], "AVI_ChunkDumpDebug_level()" [modules/demux/avi/libavi.c] and "__MP4_BoxDumpStructure()" [modules/demux/mp4/libmp4.c] functions when processing a malformed ASF, AVI or MP4 file, which could be exploited to crash an affected application or execute arbitrary code by tricking a user into opening a malicious file.
