A vulnerability has been identified in Acer LunchApp ActiveX control, which could be exploited by remote attackers to compromise a vulnerable system. This issue is caused by errors in the KWEdit "acerctrl.ocx" control that contains the insecure method "Run()", which could allow attackers to execute arbitrary commands by tricking a user into visiting a specially crafted web page.

Solution
Set a kill bit for the CLSID {3895DD35-7573-11D2-8FED-00606730D3AA}.
VUPEN Security is not aware of any vendor-supplied patch.
