A vulnerability has been identified in Nagios, which could be exploited by attackers to compromise a vulnerable system. This issue is caused by an input validation error in the "cgi-bin/statuswml.cgi" script when processing user-supplied data (e.g. "ping" parameter), which could allow attackers to inject and execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the affected script.
