Technical Description

A vulnerability has been identified in mpg123, which could be exploited by attackers to compromise a vulnerable system. This issue is caused by a signedness error in the "store_id3_text()" [libmpg123/id3.c] function when processing ID3v2 tags with negative encoding values, which could be exploited to crash an affected application or execute arbitrary code.
