Two vulnerabilities have been identified in Microsoft Windows, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service or compromise a vulnerable system.
The first issue is caused by a buffer overflow error when processing specially crafted Server Message Block (SMB) NT Trans requests, which could be exploited by remote unauthenticated attackers to crash an affected system or potentially execute arbitrary code.
The second vulnerability is caused by a buffer overflow error when processing specially crafted Server Message Block (SMB) NT Trans2 requests, which could be exploited by remote unauthenticated attackers to crash an affected system or potentially execute arbitrary code.
