A vulnerability has been identified in Linux Kernel, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service or potentially compromise a vulnerable system. This issue is caused by a buffer overflow error in the "sctp_sf_eat_fwd_tsn()" and "sctp_sf_eat_fwd_tsn_fast()" [net/sctp/sm_statefuns.c] functions when a processing a FWD-TSN chunk with a bad stream ID, which could cause a memory overflow leading to a system panic or arbitrary code execution.
