Technical Description
A vulnerability has been identified in VMware, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service. This issue is caused by an error in the "vmware-authd" daemon when processing overly long data (e.g. username or password) sent to port 912/TCP, which could be exploited by attackers to crash an affected system, creating a denial of service condition.
