Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in FreeRADIUS, which could be exploited by local attackers to bypass security restrictions. These issues are caused by errors in the "backup_radacct", "clean_radacct", "monthly_tot_stats", "tot_stats" and "truncate_radacct" scripts in the "dialup_admin/bin" directory when handling temporary files, which could allow malicious users to conduct symlink attacks and overwrite arbitrary files with the privileges of the user invoking the vulnerable application.
Affected Products
FreeRADIUS versions 2.x
Solution
VUPEN Security is not aware of any vendor-supplied patch.
