Technical Description

Two vulnerabilities have been identified in Gentoo, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service or poison the DNS cache. These issues are caused by errors in Dnsmasq. For additional information, see : VUPEN/ADV-2008-2166

Solution

Upgrade the affected packages :
# emerge --sync
# emerge --ask --oneshot --verbose " >=gnome-extra/yelp-2.22.1-r2"
# emerge --ask --oneshot --verbose " >=gnome-extra/yelp-2.20.0-r1"
