A vulnerability has been identified in Sun Solaris, which could be exploited by local attackers to cause a denial of service. This issue is caused by an error when using the "pthread_mutex_reltimedlock_np" API in a particular way, which could be exploited by a local unprivileged user or by an application to cause the system to hang or, if the deadman feature is enabled, to panic.
