A vulnerability has been identified in Pidgin, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service. This issue is caused by an error in the "msn_slplink_process_msg()" function when processing a MSN file transfer request for a file with a specially crafted filename, which could be exploited by remote attackers to crash an affected application by convincing a user into accepting a file transfer.
