A vulnerability has been identified in Apple Mac OS X, which could be exploited by local attackers to gain elevated privileges. This issue is caused by an error in the setuid root "ARDAgent" (Apple Remote Desktop) utility that does not drop privileges when invoked via an AppleScript script, which could be exploited by malicious unprivileged users to execute arbitrary shell commands with "root" privileges.
