>> X.org X11 Local Integer Overflow and Memory Corruption Vulnerabilities
|
Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in X.org X11, which could be exploited by local attackers to disclose sensitive information, cause a denial of service or gain elevated privileges. These issues are caused by integer overflow and memory corruption errors in the "AllocateGlyph()", "SProcRenderCreateLinearGradient()", "SProcRenderCreateRadialGradient()", "SProcRenderCreateConicalGradient()", "ShmPutImage()", "SProcSecurityGenerateAuthorization()" and "SProcRecordCreateContext()" functions when processing user-supplied data and requests, which could be exploited by malicious users to crash an affected server, read parts of memory in the X server process, or execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the X server.
Affected Products
X.org X11 version R7.3 and prior
