A vulnerability has been identified in Novell eDirectory, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service or gain knowledge of sensitive information. This issue is caused by an unspecified error in the eMBox utility, which could be exploited by unauthenticated attackers to gain unauthorized access to local files or cause a denial of service.

Solution

Upgrade to Novell eDirectory version 8.8.2 :
http://download.novell.com

Novell eDirectory version 8.7.3 - Unload the embox module.
