Technical Description
Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in VideoLAN VLC Media Player, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service or take complete control of an affected system.
The first issue is caused by an integer overflow error in the "MP4_ReadBox_rdrf()" [modules/demux/mp4/libmp4.c] function when handling malformed files, which could be exploited by remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted MP4 file.
The second vulnerability is caused by an array indexing error in the "sdpplin_parse()" [modules/access/rtsp/real_sdpplin.c] function, which could be exploited to execute arbitrary code.
The third issue is caused by integer overflow errors in the "cinepak_decode_frame()" [modules/codec/cinepak.c] function, which could be exploited to execute arbitrary code.
