A vulnerability has been identified in Debian, which could be exploited by local attackers to gain knowledge of sensitive information. This issue is caused by an error in the backup-manager that sends the password as a command line argument when calling FTP clients, which could allow malicious users to read this password from the process listing and gain unauthorized access to backup files.
