Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in Gentoo, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service or compromise an affected system. These issues are caused by buffer overflow errors in the "pdc_fsearch_fopen()" function within PDFlib when processing overly long filenames, which could be exploited by attackers to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the user running the application.
