Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in Panda Antivirus + Firewall 2008 and Panda Internet Security 2008, which could be exploited by local attackers to cause a denial of service or obtain elevated privileges. These issues are caused by input validation errors in the "cpoint.sys" driver when handling certain IOCTL requests (e.g. 0xba002848), which could be exploited by malicious users to crash an affected system or overwrite arbitrary memory and execute malicious code with Kernel privileges.
