Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in Borland StarTeam MPX Server, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service or take complete control of an affected system.
The first issue is caused by an integer overflow error in the "TmsgBufMsgDeserializeEx()" [tmsg50.dll] function when processing malformed data sent to port 5101, which could be exploited by remote attackers to crash an affected server, creating a denial of service condition.
The second vulnerability is caused by a heap overflow error when processing user-supplied lists, which could be exploited by remote attackers to crash or compromise an affected server.
The third issue is caused by errors when allocating memory while processing incoming data, which could be exploited by attackers to crash an affected server, creating a denial of service condition.

Borland StarTeam MPX Server version 6.7 and prior
Solution
VUPEN Security is not aware of any vendor-supplied patch.
