A vulnerability has been identified in Sun Solaris, which could be exploited by remote attackers to bypass security restrictions and cause a denial of service. This issue is caused by an error in the Internet Protocol (IP) implementation when handling certain packets, which could allow a remote privileged and authenticated user to send specially crafted packets bypassing the security policies set by a firewall or to cause the system to panic, creating a denial of service condition.
