Multiple vulnerabilities have been idenitified in Larson Network Print Server, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary code.

The first issue is caused by a format string error in the logging feature when parsing log messages, which could be exploited to crash or compromise an affected server.

The second vulnerability is caused by a buffer overflow error when handling an overly long argument passed to the "LICENSE" command, which could be exploited to crash or compromise an affected server.

Larson Network Print Server version 9.4.2 build 105 and prior

Solution

VUPEN Security is not aware of any vendor-supplied patch.
