A vulnerability has been identified in Sony ImageStation AxRUploadServer ActiveX Control, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service or take complete control of an affected system. This issue is caused by a buffer overflow error in the "AxRUploadServer.dll" module when handling overly long arguments passed to the "SetLogging()" method, which could be exploited by remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by tricking a user into visiting a specially crafted web page.

Solution
Set a kill bit for the CLSID {E9A7F56F-C40F-4928-8C6F-7A72F2A25222}.
VUPEN Security is not aware of any vendor-supplied patch.
