A vulnerability has been identified in Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery Manager, which could be exploited by attackers to take complete control of an affected system. This issue is caused by an error in the FileUpload Class running on the Symantec LiveState Apache Tomcat server, which could be exploited by attackers to upload and place malicious files on a vulnerable server through a specially crafted HTTP Post request, and execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges.
