>> Feng Multiple Remote Buffer Overflow and Denial of Service Vulnerabilities
|
Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in Feng, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service or take complete control an affected system.
The first issue is caused by buffer overflow errors in the "RTSP_valid_response_msg()" [rtsp/RTSP_state_machine.c] function, which could be exploited by attackers to crash a vulnerable application or execute arbitrary code.
Various integer overflow and NULL pointer dereference errors exist in the "RTSP_remove_msg()" [rtsp/RTSP_lowlevel.c], "parse_transport_header()" [rtsp/RTSP_setup.c], "parse_play_time_range()" [rtsp/RTSP_Play], and "log_user_agent()" [rtsp/RTSP_utils.c] functions, which could be exploited by attackers to crash a vulnerable application, creating a denial of service condition.
