A vulnerability has been identified in Syslog-ng, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service. This issue is caused by a NULL pointer dereference error in the "log_msg_parse()" [src/logmsg.c] function when processing incoming messages with a timestamp that does not contain a terminating space character, which could be exploited by remote attackers to crash a vulnerable application, creating a denial of service condition.
