Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in Apple QuickTime, which could be exploited by remote attackers to disclose sensitive information or take complete control of an affected system.
The first issue is caused by a heap buffer overflow error when processing malformed QTL files, which could be exploited by remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted QTL file or visiting a malicious web page.
The second vulnerability is caused by memory corruption errors in the Flash media handler when processing malformed SWF files, which could be exploited by remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by tricking a user into visiting a malicious web page.
