A vulnerability has been identified in Cisco IP Phone 7940, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service. This issue is caused by an error when handling a sequence of SIP INVITE messages containing a "Request-URI" without a username, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a vulnerable device to reboot, creating a denial of service condition.
