A vulnerability has been identified in MySQL, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service. This issue is caused by an assertion error in the "convert_search_mode_to_innobase()" [ha_innodb.cc] function when handling certain CONTAINS operations, which could be exploited by malicious users with ALTER privileges to crash an affected database via a specially crafted request.
