A vulnerability has been identified in Pear MDB2, which could be exploited by attackers to gain knowledge of sensitive information. This issue is caused by an input validation error when processing and storing user-supplied URLs as LOB, which could be exploited by attackers to potentially disclose the contents of arbitrary files via a specially crafted URI (e.g. file:///etc/passwd).
