A vulnerability has been identified in Oracle Database, which could be exploited by malicious users to cause a denial of service or compromise a vulnerable system. This issue is caused by a buffer overflow error when processing malformed arguments passed to the "XDB_PITRIG_PKG.PITRIG_DROPMETADATA" procedure, which could be exploited by authenticated attackers to crash an affected server or execute arbitrary code on the underlying system in the context of the database account.
