A vulnerability has been identified in Scribe, which could be exploited by attackers to execute arbitrary code. This issue is caused by an input validation error in the "register()" [forumfunctions.php] function does not validate the "username" parameter (supplied via the "forum.php" script) before being written to a PHP script, which could be exploited by remote attackers to inject and execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the web server.

Solution

VUPEN Security is not aware of any vendor-supplied patch.
