Technical Description
A vulnerability has been identified in CUPS, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service or compromise a vulnerable system. This issue is caused by a memory corruption error in the "ippReadIO()" [cups/ipp.c] function when processing a specially crafted IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) "textWithLanguage" or "nameWithLanguage" tag, which could be exploited by attackers to crash an affected application or execute arbitrary code.
