Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in AlsaPlayer, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service or take complete control of an affected system. These issues are caused by buffer overflow errors in the "vorbis_stream_info()" [alsaplayer/input/vorbis/vorbis_engine.c] function when processing data read from a Vorbis file, which could be exploited by attackers to execute arbitrary code by tricking a user into opening a malicious OGG file.
