A vulnerability has been identified in MW6 Technologies QRCode ActiveX, which could be exploited by remote attackers to take complete control of an affected system. This issue is caused by errors in the "MW6QRCODELib" (MW6QRCode.dll) ActiveX control that does not restrict access to the "SaveAsBMP()" and "SaveAsWMF()" methods, which could be exploited by attackers to create malicious files on a vulnerable system and execute arbitrary code by tricking a user into visiting a specially crafted web page.

Solution
Set a kill bit for the CLSID {3BB56637-651D-4D1D-AFA4-C0506F57EAF8}.
VUPEN Security is not aware of any vendor-supplied patch.
