A vulnerability has been identified in SurgeMail, which could be exploited by malicious users to take complete control of an affected system. This issue is caused by a buffer overflow error in the IMAP service when processing an overly long argument passed to a "SEARCH" command, which could be exploited by authenticated attackers to execute arbitrary code via a specially crafted "SEARCH" command.
