>> Libvorbis Multiple Function Code Execution and Denial of Service Vulnerabilities
|
Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in Libvorbis, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary code.
The first issue is caused by a heap overwrite error within the "_01inverse()" [res0.c] function when processing invalid "blocksize_0" and "blocksize_1" values, which could be exploited by attackers to execute arbitrary code.
The second vulnerability is caused by an invalid mapping type within the "vorbis_info_clear()" [info.c] function, which could be exploited to execute arbitrary code.
The third issue is caused by an error in "block.c" when handling invalid blocksize values, which could be exploited to crash an affected application, creating a denial of service condition.
Other security issues related to the handling of OOG audio file have been reported.
