A vulnerability has been identified in Apple Safari for Windows, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service or take complete control of an affected system. This issue is caused by a buffer overflow error when processing an overly long "title" tag (more than 1024 bytes), which could be exploited by malicious web sites to crash an affected browser or execute arbitrary code by tricking a user into adding a specially crafted page as a bookmark (Ctrl+D).
Note : This vulnerability has been successfully exploited by VUPEN on Windows XP SP2 with a fully patched Safari version 3.0.2 (522.13.1). Exploit code is available to VUPEN VNS subscribers only.
