>> GD Graphics Library Image Processing Integer Overflow and Denial of Service Issues
|
Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in GD Graphics Library, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service or compromise an affected system.
The first issue is caused by an infinite loop error in the PNG reader when processing malformed data, which could be exploited by attackers to crash an affected application.
The second vulnerability is caused by an integer overflow error in the "gdImageCreateTrueColor()" function when processing a specially crafted "sx" argument, which could be exploited by attackers to execute arbitrary code.
The third issue is caused by an error in the "gdImageCreateXbm()" function, which could be exploited by attackers to crash an affected application.
The fourth issue is caused by errors in the GIF reader, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service or compromise a vulnerable system by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted image using an application linked against a vulnerable library.
