A vulnerability has been identified in Apple TV, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary code. This issue is caused by a buffer overflow error in the UPnP IGD (Internet Gateway Device Standardized Device Control Protocol) code when processing specially crafted UPnP protocol packets, which could be exploited by remote attackers to crash an affected application or compromise a vulnerable system.

Solution
Upgrade to Apple TV version 1.1 via the TV interface by selecting "Settings" and "Update Software".
