Technical Description
A vulnerability has been identified in GNU findutils, which could be exploited by attackers to execute arbitrary code. This issue is caused by a heap overflow error in the "visit_old_format()" [locate/locate.c] function when reading a malformed old-format database, which could be exploited by attackers to compromise an affected system by convincing a user to run locate with a specially crafted database.
