A vulnerability has been identified in Adobe Version Cue CS3 Server, which could be exploited by remote attackers to bypass security restrictions. This issue is caused by an error in the Mac installer that turns off the firewall to correctly set up the application but does not turn the firewall back on at the end of the installation process, which could allow remote attackers to gain unauthorized access to arbitrary ports.

Solution

Adobe recommends turning the personal firewall in Mac OS X back on using these instructions :

- From the Apple menu, select System Preferences.
- Click the Sharing icon, and then click the Firewall tab.
- Click Start.
