A vulnerability has been identified in teTeX, which could be exploited by remote attackers to bypass security checks and execute arbitrary code. This issue is caused by a buffer overflow error in the "open_sty()" [mkind.c] function, which could be exploited by attackers to overwrite arbitrary files or compromise a vulnerable system by tricking a user into running makeindex with a specially crafted file.
