A vulnerability has been identified in Elinks, which could be exploited by local attackers to execute arbitrary code. This issue is caused by an error in the "add_filename_to_string()" [intl/gettext/loadmsgcat.c] function that incorrectly attempts to load gettext catalogs using a relative path, which could be exploited by malicious users to execute arbitrary code by tricking another user into running the application from a specific directory.
