>> PHP Multiple Function Remote Buffer Overflow and Security Bypass Vulnerabilities
|
Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in PHP, which could be exploited by remote or local attackers to bypass security checks and execute arbitrary code.
The first issue is caused by an input validation error in the "ftp_putcmd()" function, which could be exploited to inject and execute arbitrary FTP commands.
The second vulnerability is caused by an error in the "import_request_variables()" function, which could be exploited by attackers to overwrite super-globals and bypass security restrictions.
The third issue is caused by a buffer overflow error in the "make_http_soap_request()" function, which could be exploited by remote attackers to compromise a vulnerable web server with PHP5.
The fourth vulnerability is caused by a buffer overflow error in the "user_filter_factory_create()" function, which could be exploited to execute arbitrary code.
The fifth issue is caused by a buffer overflow error in the libxmlrpc library, which could be exploited by remote attackers to compromise a vulnerable web server.
Other previously disclosed vulnerabilities have also been addressed. For additional information, see : VUPEN/ADV-2007-0791
