Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in Cerulean Studios Trillian, which could be exploited by remote attackers to disclose sensitive information or take complete control of an affected system.

The first issue is caused by an error when handling overly long CTCP PING messages containing UTF-8 characters, which could be exploited to cause a vulnerable client to improperly send certain information to the attacker.

The second vulnerability is caused by a heap overflow error when highlighting URLs contains an overly long string of UTF-8 characters, which could be exploited by remote attackers to execute arbitrary code.

The third issue is caused by a heap overflow error in the Internet Relay Chat (IRC) module when processing a message that contains a font face HTML tag with the face attribute set to an overly long UTF-8 string, which could be exploited by remote attackers to execute arbitrary code.

The fourth vulnerability is caused by a buffer overflow error in the Rendezvous / XMPP (Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol) messaging subsystem when processing malformed messages, which could be exploited by remote attackers to execute arbitrary code.
