A vulnerability has been identified in Gentoo, which could be exploited by remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. This issue is caused by an error in various Courier-IMAP scripts that do not properly handle the "XMAILDIR" variable, which could be exploited by attackers to inject and execute arbitrary commands by sending specially crafted login credentials.
