A vulnerability has been identified in Aircrack-NG, which could be exploited by remote attackers to take complete control of an affected system. This issue is caused by a buffer overflow error in the "check_shared_key()" [airodump-ng.c] function when processing malformed 802.11 authentication packets while logging traffic using the "-w" or "--write" option, which could be exploited by attackers to execute arbitrary code by sending a specially crafted packet to a system running the airodump-ng tool.
