Technical Description
A vulnerability has been identified in Cisco IP Phone 7940 and 7960, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service. This issue is due to an error when processing a specially crafted INVITE request with a malformed "sipURI" field of the Remote-Party-ID, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a vulnerable device to reboot, creating a denial of service condition.
