Rated as : Critical
Remotely Exploitable : Yes Locally Exploitable : Yes Release Date : 2007-03-07
Technical Description
Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in Ipswitch Collaboration Suite and IMail, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary commands. These issues are due to buffer overflow errors in the "IMAILAPILib.IMailServer", "IMAILAPILib.IMailLDAPService" and "IMAILAPILib.IMailUserCollection" ActiveX controls when processing malformed arguments, which could be exploited by remote attackers to compromise a vulnerable server via a specially crafted request or a malicious web page.
